Board Gender Diversity and Firm Performance: Evidence from Family-Owned Firms in India

This study investigates the impact of board gender diversity (BGD) on firm performance (FP) for family-owned Indian firms. To do so, this selects a sample 75 top-listed firms period 5 years. For empirical analysis, used appropriate panel data models. robustness, three-stage least square (3SLS) model was used. The findings obtained from models reveal significant positive BGD in terms its different measures FP after controlling corporate governance and firm-specific characteristics. Such results are further substantiated through 3SLS model. provides novel evidence diverse constructive context, thereby extending ongoing debate about outcomes mandatory quota an emerging market.
